1. Purpose:
This guide describes how to identify hardware virtualization extensions and enable them in your BIOS if they are disabled.
You could also refer this doc for any other platforms which support virtualization technology.
2. Target Audience:
All users familiar with BIOS settings and virtualization.
3. Procedures:
1- Load BIOS default if necessary:
- Save & Exit -> Reload BIOS default -> Load Optimized Default? -> Yes
- Save & Exit -> Save Changes and Exit -> Save configuration and reset? -> Yes
- The server will reboot and please press "DEL" or "F2" to enter the BIOS setup menu
2- Enabling virtualization extensions in BIOS
- Enter to the BIOS setup menu -> Platform -> Virtualization
- Enable Intel Virtualization
- Enable Intel. VT-d
- Enable SR-IOV Support
- Save & Exit -> Save Changes and Exit -> Save configuration and reset? -> Yes
- The server will reboot
