Purpose:
Node explorer is a web service based on BMC, an valid IP address for BMC is required. The article instructs how to set an IP address on BMC and login.
Target Audience:
1. ICVG platforms which using Advantech developed code
2. General for ICVG platform users
Guide Steps:
Step1. Connect a LAN accessible cables to NC-SI supported network interface.
We have to give at least one IP address on BMC for accessing it via NC-SI, the default IP address of Advantech BMC code would be set as 0.0.0.0.
Step2. Set IP address on BMC
Ex: how to set IP address to 1st NC-SI port?
BIOS > Server Mgmt > BMC network configuration > configuration address > set DHCP or static > save & reset
Step3. Login from browsers
After that, you may use IE/Chrome and type "https://{ip address}" to Node Explorer login page. Default username and password are "administrator" and "advantech".
Step4. Page would be redirected as below after a successful login
Node Explorer supports several functions, including check SEL/sensor/firmware version, upgrade firmware, remote power-control, iKVM..., all supported function can be found on the left of the page.

- Explore all Node Explorer features.
- Create an new user for it.
- Mount an installation image via HTTPS.
- Mount an installation image via SMB.
- Tips for accelerating installation via virtual media.
- Mount an bootable image and copy to a disk.
- Enable/Disable specific system alert buzzer.
- Upgrade system firmware.
