Node Explorer: OS installation recommendation

1. Purpose:

Several users have reported performance issue when installing recent versions of Linux OS via Node Explorer.

This article shares a new feature that allows to improvement of the installation process time.

2. Target Audience:

SKY-8132S-11/SKY-8232D owners who want to install OS (ISO file) via Web UI (node explorer)

 

3. Prerequisites:

Advantech BMC FW version 0.43 and later version for SKY-8232D

Advantech BMC FW version 1.05 and later for SKY-8132S-11

3. Steps:

b- Set the frame rate to low as per below:

Node Explorer Application Portal:

• Explore all Node Explorer features.
• Create an new user for it.
• Mount an installation image via HTTPS.
• Mount an installation image via SMB.
• Tips for accelerating installation via virtual media.
• Mount an bootable image and copy to a disk.
• Enable/Disable specific system alert buzzer.
• Upgrade system firmware.
