How to install NMC module in ENPD system

Purpose:

It lists NMC module installation SOP for customer reference, 

Target Audience:

For Advantech TSE, RBU AE, outsourcing service engineer(s) and End customer with the following knowledges  :

• HW installation troubleshooting experience

Content:

ENPD NMC modules are available in three types: Latch, Thumb-screw, and Handler.

To ensure compatibility, please verify your ENPD system's NMC slot type before selecting a suitable NMC card.

This guide will focus on installing Latch and Thumb-screw type NMCs. Handler type NMC installation requires a customized system and won't be covered here.

Latch type NNC installation.

• Please open dummy NMC latch, and remove dummy Latch NMC from system.

• Please install Latch type NMC module in system, it can easy to install Latch type NMC in system.

• Please close NMC latch in system, it finishes Latch type NMC module installation.

Thumb-screw type NNC installation.

• Please loosen 2 Thumb-screws of Dummy NMC, and loosen a fixed screw if system installs it.

• Please remove Dummy NMC and look NMC slot’s guide.

• Please look the metal tray of Thumb-screw type NNC’s, when user needs to install Thumb-screw type NNC in system, the metal tray’s side needs installing in guide of NMC slot

• Please lock 2 Thumb-screws & fixed screw after Thumb-screw type NNC installation finish,
