How to install NMC module in ENPD system

Purpose:

It lists NMC module installation SOP for customer reference, 

Target Audience:

For Advantech TSE, RBU AE, outsourcing service engineer(s) and End customer with the following knowledges  :

• HW installation troubleshooting experience

Content:

ENPD NMC module has three types, please check ENPD system’s NMC slot type and choose suitable NMC card in system.

Handler type is using customize system at the moment; following step will introduce Latch type & Thumb-screw type NNC installation.

Handler type		Using 2 screws fixes in ENPD system.	2U: FWA-6500 1U: FWA-3210/3231 /3232
Latch type		Using NMC’s Latch fixes in ENPD system	2U: FWA-6510/6520 1U: FWA-3230/3260/ 3270
Thumb-screw type		Using NMC’s Thumb-screws fixes in ENPD system	2U: FWA-6170/SKY-7210 1U: FWA-6070/5070/2012

Latch type NNC installation.

1. Please open dummy NMC latch, and remove dummy Latch NMC from system.

1. Please install Latch type NMC module in system, it can easy to install Latch type NMC in system.

1. Please close NMC latch in system, it finishes Latch type NMC module installation.

Thumb-screw type NNC installation.

1. Please loosen 2 Thumb-screws of Dummy NMC, and loosen a fixed screw if system installs it.

1. Please remove Dummy NMC and look NMC slot’s guide.

1. Please look the metal tray of Thumb-screw type NNC’s, when user needs to install Thumb-screw type NNC in system, the metal tray’s side needs installing in guide of NMC slot

1. When Thumb-screw type NNC installation is finish, please lock 2 Thumb-screws & fixed screw.
