Purpose:
Since most users are not familiar with IPMITool or Redfish, this article explains how to retrieve logs using the BMC web interface.
Audience:
For the engineers who have experience on Advantech BMC's platforms with basic knowledge of remote access.
Follow the link to set up the BMC IP address.
Prerequisites:
1- Make sure RJ45 port plugs into IPMI_LAN port on the server side board
2- Supported Browsers:
• Chrome latest version.
• IE 11 and above.
• Firefox (with limited support).
Procedures:
1. Open a browser with https://<BMC IP address> , ID : administrator, Password: advantech
2. Select the Alert on the right side, then click the function box
3. Download the event log to local via the browser
4. Select the "Maintenance" on the left side, click the "BMC Diagnostic Log"
5. Click the "Download All"
6. The tar file will be generated and downloaded to local via a browser
