Purpose:
For some reason, the case intrusion asserted event will cause the MNR LED turn on. And there is no de-asserted case intrusion event could turn off the MNR LED even you really close the top cover correctly. This article will show you how to clear the MNR LED caused by case intrusion asserted event by using an EFI tool.
Target Audience:
For the engineer who manages the server and understands how to use the EFI shell and knows that the server has been generated a "case intrusion" asserted event.
Explanation:
1- Download the attachment, copy the file into a FAT32/FAT format USB drive and insert it to the device.
2- Boot the device under build-in shell mode: (move build-in shell to boot option #1 then save & exit)
3- Run the following command under "spv_ipmi.efi" folder: (In this example: FS0:\uefi\uefi\)
Shell> FS0:
FS0:\> cd uefi
FS0:\uefi\> cd uefi
FS0:\uefi\uefi> spv_ipmi.efi raw 0x04 0x2a 0x08 0x01 0x00 0x01 0x00
