How to create case intrusion event table on ESG product?

Purpose:

In terms of timeline, for ESG products developed from 2023 onwards, including FWA-1013 and SKY-7232D, there are no MNR LED alerts on the front panel, no buzzle, and only an Event trigger if a Case intrusion event is triggered. 

If LED MNR Alert On & Buzzer are needed, please refer to the following steps.

Target Audience:

The SKY/FWA series servers with Advantech One BMC code running

Pre-requirement:

Refer to the BMC Quick Start Guide

A platform with a browser

Steps:

🔹 The BMC Web --> Alerts --> Event Filter Table, click the last Unspecified number, from "Actions" section, select "OEM action"

 

🔹 In the "Severity" section, select "Critical Condition"

 

🔹 In the "Sensor" section, select "Physical Security" in Sensor Type, "CASE_INTRUSION" in Sensor Name

 

🔹 In the "Event" section, update the hex value as below

 

🔹 Before clicking "Save", make sure the "Enable this filter" is clicked

🔹 To clear the Case Intrusion event,  re-arm and event check by following command

# ipmitool raw 0x04 0x00 0x20 0x00
# ipmitool sel elist | grep -i case
188 | 02/19/2025 | 03:36:26 | Physical Security CASE_INTRUSION | General Chassis intrusion | Deasserted

🔹 Generally, changes take effect immediately; reset the BMC if needed,

# ipmitool mc reset cold
Sent cold reset command to MC

 

🔹 Re-login Node Explorer and the Case Intrusion filter table be checked
