[Quick Start Guide #2] How to set up remote monitoring and control of the device?

1. Purpose:

This QSG has the aim of guiding you to access your device remotely via web browser.

2. Audience:

All users with SKY-8132S-11 with experience on BIOS settings configuration.

3. Prerequisites:

Please refer to the Quick Start Guide #1 for getting the device console output.

4. Steps:

Step1: Press keyboard [Del] button when POST show up to access BIOS settings.

Step2: Switch pages to "Server Mgmt > BMC network configuration > Lan channel 1 > Configuration Address", configure an static IP address.

• Note: you may need to press [Shift] + [Backspce] to clear characters, depends on software utilities.

Step3: Connect the network cable to "Mgmt" SFP port.

Step4: Press [Esc] and switch pages to "Save & Exit", select the "Save Changes and Reset".

Step5: Type the IP address in your laptop browsers, it will pop out BMC web login page, then login with default username "administrator" and password "advantech".

• Note: for security concern, you shall change your password after login.
