Currently, lowest "PSU_INTAKE-TMP" threshold in BMC(v0.30) is 50 degree Celsius, it could be easily triggered if room temperature is high. Some users want to know how to redefine it.
If alarm is generated when "PSU_INTAKE-TMP" upper than 50 degree Celsius but lower than 60 degree Celsius, it is a pre-caution alarm and it won't cause any impact on x86 stability or performance.
BMC thresholds can be redefined by users/cases, following are commands for this.
For instance, default thresholds are 50, 60, 70, and I want to redefine it to be 60, 70, 80...
#ipmitool sensor thresh PSU1_INTAKE-TMP upper 60 70 80
#ipmitool sensor thresh PSU2_INTAKE-TMP upper 60 70 80
Please note, this change will not preserved after AC cycle or BMC cold reset, you may have to consider adding these commands whenever OS boot.
