How to extend BIOS evaluation date via Node Explorer (BMC WEB)?

1. Purpose:

The BIOS evaluation period is limited to six months, which may occasionally disrupt customers during their evaluation process. This article provides guidance on extending the BIOS evaluation period by upgrading the NVRAM firmware, thus resetting the evaluation timeframe.

2. Target Audience:

All users who own Advantech ESG servers.

3. Prerequisites:

• NVRAM firmware image file (contact your contact window at Advantech to obtain it)
• Access to the BMC web interface (Node Explorer)
• A stable network connection
• Administrative privileges on the BMC
