[Description]
Why system can not boot up when system install new DIMM module?
[Analysis]
1. New Intel system (ex: Denverton/Skylake ) will detect RAM configuration at first boot, When user installs new DIMM module in system, BIOS needs more boot time for DIMM configuration at first boot.
module name | DIMM size | first boot time |
SKY-7210 | 64G DIMM X24 | Near 180 sec. |
FWA-1112Vc | 16G DIMM X1 | Near 50 sec. |
2. System doesn't detect RAM configuration at next boot, and system boot time will quickly than first boot
