Purpose:
It lists FWA-3260 BMC PSU status detection for customer reference,
Target Audience:
For Advantech TSE, RBU AE, outsourcing service engineer(s) and End customer with the following knowledges :
- BMC troubleshooting experience
- System installation & troubleshooting experience
Content:
A. FWA-3260A (with LOM) contains Advantech code based BMC , the status of "PSU presence detected" may confuse customer due to the display.
Please use following table to check system's BMC version,
# ipmitool mc info
Device ID : 121
Device Revision : 1
Firmware Revision : 1.08
And refer following table to check PSU status from discrete readings
BMC 1.04 (or early version) & V1.10 New BMC was following this definition |

B. If the PSU status is not one of the above 3 values(ex: 0x0300), it means PSU module's self-test as fail, please contact Advantech RMA to exchange new PSU module ASAP.

It means FWA-3260 LOM CN4 didn't connected PSU's IPMB 4 PIN cable, please contact Advantech RMA to check PSU's IPMB cable connection,
