One more step after adding LOM on FWA-3270 for PSU detection

Caution:

This article is about the cable routing inside the chassis, please be aware of the precautions to prevent damage the components in chassis.

Purpose:

On FWA-3270 , PSU status can be retrieved through I2C cable which is connected to PSU housing (back plane).  

By default, this cable is connected to mother board (M/B), so that system can check PSU status through i2c commands or Advantech utility called "sensor reader"

Sometimes, adding LOM (BMC) is an option on FWA-3270.  To have BMC be able to access PSU properly, switching this cable from M/B to LOM connector CN4 is required. 

Prerequisites:

FWA-3270 supports BMC and Non-BMC SKU, steps in this article only for BMC (LOM) SKU

Procedures/Steps:

1. Find PSU detection Cable from PSU backplane

2.Wire this cable to LOM connector CN4, hear the clip sound to make sure it's well-connected.

3.Power On system and check is PSU sensor readings were shown in sensor data record list.
